Herceg Novi

Herceg Novi is a coastal town located at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor and at the foot of mount Orjen. It has around 17,000 inhabitants, and is the administrative center of the Herceg Novi municipality. Although it is one of the youngest settlements on the Adriatic, it had a very turbulent history, and every one of the numerous conquerors had left a mark on the city’s face, making it one of the most picturesque towns on the Montenegrin coast.

Rose

Rose is a fishermen’s village situated right next to the sea, cuddled by mountains and Mediterranean forests, on the edge of the Luštica Peninsula, facing Herceg Novi. The houses of Rose are lined up on the front of the quay well protected from the winds. This is one of the most beautiful spots of the Riviera.

It’s background is a forest with extraordinary samples of Mediterranean horticulture. The beach is rocky, and the sea is deep with sandy and rocky bottom which is a true challenge for divers and underwater fishing lovers. This place used to be a quarantine for the seamen from all over the world. Nowadays the successors of Portuguese and Spanish sailors can be met here. You can reach Rose both from the sea and dry land.

Žanjice

Nearby there is Plava špilja (the Blue Grotto) and the island of Mamula, where the old Austrian fortress lords the entrance to the Bay. These attractions can be reached by private boat or through the arrangements made in advance with travel agencies which organize excursions and field trips.  

Tivat

Tivat is a coastal town in southwest Montenegro, located in the Bay of Kotor. It has a population of 9,467. Tivat is the center of Tivat municipality with a population 13,630, which is the smallest municipality by area in Montenegro. It is located in the central part of the Bay of Kotor, south of mount Vrmac. The municipality lies mostly south of the town, and also has an exit to open sea at the tourist location Pržno inlet near Radovici village in south. Its central part, where Tivat Airport is located, lies in fertile Grbalj valley. The airport is located near the isthmus of Luštica peninsula, which belongs to the municipality of Herceg Novi for the most part.

Perast

Perast is an old town in the Bay of Kotor. It is situated a few kilometers northwest of Kotor. Perast lies beneath the hill of St. Elijah (873 meter), on a cape that separates the bay of Risan from the bay of Kotor (two smaller bays within the Bay of Kotor) and overlooks the Verige strait, the narrowest part of the Boka Kotorska. The average yearly temperature in Perast is 18.3°C, and the number of sunny days is 240 (or around 2,500 sunny hours per year).

Dobrota

Dobrota is a town in the Kotor Municipality in coastal Montenegro. Although administratively a separate town, it is de facto part of Kotor, and encompasses most of Kotor’s residential area, while town of Kotor administratively encompasses town’s historical core. It gained somewhat of a notoriety among the locals, as the home of Montenegro’s only psychiatric hospital.

Ljuta

Ljuta is a small village situated on the coast road between the towns of Kotor and Perast. The village is in a sunny location, being located at the north eastern point of the Bay of Kotor. The Stari Mlini restaurant, one of the bay’s well known restaurants, is located in Ljuta. The seafront is predominantly stony with many piers (stone built docks, in the local dialect "ponta") which people swim from. The Ljuta river is remarkably short, just a few hundred metres long, it emerges from the bottom of the mountains and flows into the bay. It varies from a gentle stream to a raging torrent, but keeps the Ljuta end of the bay very clean and reduces the salinity of the sea. There is an extensive deep water harbour front where yachts moor in the summer.

Kotor

Strolling Kotor’s old town, you should have warmed up enough for a walk up to the Castle of San Giovanni or Castle of St John for an amazing view of the fjord and a fabulous birds-eye-view of the Old Town of Kotor, Montenegro. There is a lot to see in the old city and a lot to learn about the European History as Kotor played an important role in numerous empires and therefore has a rich and diversified heritage. The splendid city wall, narrow streets, many squares and the Mediterranean features make Kotor one of the most memorable stopovers in the Adriatic sea. The Natural and Culture- Historical Region of Kotor is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It encompasses the old town of Kotor (Italian Cattaro), the fortifications of Kotor, and the surrounding region of the inner Bay.

Budva

In the center of Budva Riviera there is one of the most famous resorts and ancient settlements of the Adriatic - the city of Budva. Back in the 5th century BC here was a settlement that had the status of a city and was called almost the same way - Budua.  This is an ideal place for lovers of active and sated rest. There is everything for families: in walking distance there are supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, playgrounds. And for lovers of nightlife - there are a lot of open discos on the embankment. Budva is divided into the Old (historical center) and the New (modern part of the city) one. 

Sveti Stefan

Sveti Stefan, pronounced, now Aman Sveti Stefan including the Villa Miločer; is a small islet and hotel resort in Montenegro, approximately 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) southeast of Budva. The resort includes the islet of Sveti Stefan and part of the mainland, where the Villa Miločer part of the resort is located. An Adriatic playground for the rich and famous from the 1960s to the 1980s, the hotel is now a 5-star franchise hotel of the international group of Aman Resorts, completed in 2009 and operating under a 30 year lease. Formerly an island, Sveti Stefan is now connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus. The resort in total contains 50 rooms, cottages and suites on the island and 8 grand suites at the Villa Miločer. The hotel won the Hotel of the Year award from Gallivanter’s Guide in 2010.

Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik (historically Ragusa) is a city on the Adriatic Sea in southern Croatia. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Adriatic sea, a seaport and the centre of Dubrovnik-Neretva County. In 1979, the city of Dubrovnik joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage sites. The prosperity of the city was historically based on maritime trade. As the capital of the maritime Republic of Ragusa, it achieved a high level of development, particularly during the 15th and 16th centuries, as it became notable for its wealth and skilled diplomacy.
